Barley wine is the way in which certain English beers are called, because of their high intensity. They can reach an alcoholic graduation of 12% of the volume. Its natural sweetness and dense body, is balanced with a degree of light bitterness and high alcohol content. Sometimes they have an aged character like sherry and fruity flavors. Due to their high graduation, some barley wines are aged for more than 25 years.
